SASC provides a full-range of assessment and treatment services for individuals and families experiencing problems due to the use of alcohol and other drugs.

Services provided:


  • Assessments for addictive disorders including alcohol and other drug addictions;

  • OWI assessments for those arrested for drunk driving;

  • Outpatient treatment including individual, family, and group counseling components;

  • Early intervention programs for adolescents and their parents;

  • On-campus counseling services for teens attending high schools and junior high schools in Dubuque county;

  • Specialized programs for adolescents, women, men, and those under supervision to the Iowa Dept. of Correctional Services;

  • Community outreach and educational programs.


All services are confidential.


Iowa residents are eligible for subsidized services based on income and family size.  Health insurances may apply.  No Iowa resident is refused services based solely on an inability to pay.   

Non-Iowa residents are eligible for services at normal fees.  Health insurances may apply.
